John W. Robinson, M.D., S.M.
Dr. Robinson founded P
EHR Technologies in November 2003 to capitalize on the dual demand of health insurance companies needing new ways to lower costs by encouraging more patient participation in their own health care and of patients needing more control over their health. With over 20 years of experience treating patients as a family doctor, he has seen over and over again situations in which patients don't know the basics of their health history or understand the resulting increased costs and potential for medical errors.
In 1998, Dr. Robinson founded The Utah HealthCare Institute, a non-profit organization that sponsors the Residency, four outpatient clinics, and an active community service program. He is an accomplished speaker and has numerous contacts in the health-care industry, including several CEOs of health insurance companies. He also has experience as a medical director for a health plan.
- S.M., Health Care Management, Harvard School of Public Health, 2004
- M.D., University of Utah, 1980
- B.S., Chemistry, Gonzaga University, 1976
